Performance:

We successfully improved the stock exhaust system (with a Slip-On system) of the BMW 335i in numerous areas. The first visible improvement is the additional power of 7,2 HP (at 5.950 rpm) and 8,1 Nm (at 3.560 rpm). The range between 2.500 rpm and 3.000 rpm and at 3.500 rpm was particularly improved.

A noticeable step up can also be observed at peak power where the Slip-On gives even more. When we are trying to achieve better performance, weight also plays a big role. Performance:

The stock torque curve of the M6 V-10-cylinder has a dent in the area of 5.000 rpm. Akrapovic exhaust has the maximum torque increase of 3,5 Nm (at 7.210 rpm). The increase of power by 3,7 HP nearly homogeneously tunes in at around 7.000 rpm. This can be felt considerably and the 1.800 kg heavy vehicle appears more dynamic. The connection tubes of the Evolution System, i.e. the complete ex manifold system, are newly designed in order to optimize the exhaust flow by offering a bigger tube diameter, interference crossover tubes to improve the vibration characteristics of the exhaust, and the discard of the second set of catalysts. The end mufflers are now split. This technique reduces the weight by 26 kg in comparison to the 43 kg for the stock system.


Performance:

A twin turbo, 4.4 liter, 555 horsepower SUV? Only from the M division of BMW could a beast such as this be set loose on the world. Akrapovič is proud to have designed an exhaust system that unleashes the typical V8 roar from the engine of this technically advanced and premium Sports Activity Coupé

Performance:

We have constructed a complete “catalyst back” exhaust system manufactured entirely from our proprietary titanium alloy, which introduces enhancements to the exhaust design not found in the stock system. One of the most important changes is the incorporation of an X-pipe in the system. The inclusion of an X-pipe increases low to mid-range power while at the same time producing a deeper exhaust note that the original system lacks. Additionally, a pair of resonators are added to eliminate any chance of in-cabin droning. The mounting flanges are made of cast titanium from our in-house foundry and ensure a perfect, leak-free fit.

Moving to the muffler section of our system, we have retained the “dualmode” exhaust flap control from the original system. This allows the vehicle to have a more civilized, but deeper than stock sound at low speed. However, at higher RPM (or when selecting the “S” mode on the gearshift) the muffler is bypassed, creating a deep and sporty sound much more in keeping with the personality of the car.

Two exhaust tail pipe options are available; both are 100 mm in diameter. The first is made completely from titanium while the other is crafted from a carbon fiber/titanium composite. The carbon fiber version was developed on the MotoGP Safety Car, which is driven at sustained high speed, to guarantee uncompromised durability.

Performance has not been left out of the design. The system dramatically reduces backpressure and is an excellent starting point for further engine tuning or turbo modifications. Even when installed on an otherwise stock vehicle a gain of 11 horsepower and 15 Nm/11 lbs-ft of torque are achieved. Furthermore, a weight reduction of 23 kg/51 lbs. is realized. The OEM catalysts are retained, so no reflashing of the ECU is required and the check engine light will not be triggered.

Performance

To further add to the excitement of this car Akrapovič has designed a completely new aftermarket muffler system crafted entirely of titanium.* Incorporating dual mode exhaust valves, our triple exit system allows for a subdued sound at low rpm (though crisper than stock). However, at higher rpm it fully unleashes the incredible sound of the F1-inspired, high-revving V8. Also included is a new carbon fiber/titanium exhaust tail pipe set. Subtle and understated, the new tail pipe set makes it clear that this is not a standard car. Additionally, we offer optional, lightweight, high-flow catalyst/link pipes. Used in conjunction with the muffler system the sound is even more aggressive, similar to the 458 Challenge Car.

The 458 is no stranger to performance. Nevertheless, we have been able to extract further horsepower from this jewel of an engine. With the street legal Slip-On system installed a gain of 9 horsepower and 22 Nm of torque is gained. If the high-flow catalysts are added a total of 11 horsepower and 26 Nm of torque are found.

On a car of this design, weight savings are incredibly difficult to achieve. Remarkably, we were able to shave 8 kilograms from the stock system. If both the muffler system and high-flow catalyst are utilized an amazing reduction of 14 kilograms is accomplished! These weight savings, coupled with the added power and enhanced sound our system offers, makes a marvelous car truly unforgettable

This pocket rocket of legendary fame is proof that the best things come in small packages. Its turbo engine and small external dimensions make the 500 a truly fun car to drive, and it’s also suitable for a turn around the racetrack. To make it even faster, even more responsive, and with a more striking look and sound, Akrapovič has developed a completely new exhaust system for it.

Performance


The Slip-On system can be purchased with a set of impressive exhaust tail pipes made from titanium or an equally impressive set made from carbon fiber. Choosing either of these sets gives the Abarth 500 a completely new look and adds power on the street. The 115 mm tail pipes will definitely stick in the memory of any driver who sees the Akrapovič 500. This is also true of the sound; selecting the optional wireless kit for operating the exhaust valve makes the sound significantly deeper, tastefully louder, but still completely without undesirable droning.

The Akrapovič engineers have found the ideal compromise once again. With the simple push of a button, the wireless kit offers a choice between normal volume and a louder sound, adding further excitement in the drive to set record times on the track. Faster times are also possible because of the power increase, which is an additional three horsepower and five Nm (four lbs-ft) of torque.

The Akrapovič Slip-On system also reduces the overall weight by three kg (6 lbs.). The fuel flow is optimized, the backpressure reduced, and the Abarth with the Akrapovič system is outstanding for tuning and modifications. It has more power available from around 2,500 rpm all the way to the top. These specs apply to the system with the optional wireless kit and open valves. The system without the wireless kit has a point-welded block in the link pipe that prevents bypassing the muffler.
